About:

Donald leverages his science, legal, and business acumen in his role for STEMRSHIP, Inc. His STEM interests have drawn him to formal and informal learning opportunities. Some of his most treasured STEM learning memories manifest from visits to museums such as the Musee de l'Air et de l'Espace in France, the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., and especially the opportunity to sit at the Spruce Goose flight controls in the Washington State Evergreen museum. Donald further explored these STEM interests as the Aerospace Education Officer for the local Civil Air Patrol (CAP) chapter, working alongside (and learning much more from) fellow CAP members pursuing Aerospace Engineering graduate degrees at local prestigious universities.

Donald practices consulting and legal work in the health care space. He also volunteers his time mentoring with SCORE, a non-profit volunteer organization funded, in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Donald is proud to have worked with many SCORE clients to discuss their business goals and aspirations. Donald is especially proud of earning the recognition as the 2023 U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Boots to Business Instructor of the year for providing the legal module for military service members looking to transition to civilian life.

Donald’s educational background includes an undergraduate Biology Degree from Boston College, a Health Care Management MBA from Boston University, and a JD from Suffolk University Law School with a Health Care concentration. Donald has done previous advocacy work in roles as Health Law Section Chair for the Massachusetts Bar Association, Advocacy Chair for the New England HIMSS association, and volunteer work with Youth Enrichment Services in Boston.

Donald is excited to share his passion for STEM with fellow members of the STEMRSHIP, Inc. group to inspire and encourage STEM participants to develop a passion for STEM of their own.
