About:

Russell is a rising high school junior who is combining his interests in STEM with his high school volunteer service commitments. Russell has also participated in many STEM programs as a student himself including the MIT Educational Studies Program and the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Aerospace Connections in Education (ACE) Program. Fun memories and learning opportunities of the MIT program include a course focusing on the Science of Happiness. While a fun memory of the CAP ACE program include dressing up as one of the Wright Brothers (or both!) and giving a presentation on their historic first flight.

Russell’s other interests draw upon thinking on his feet as a Clarinetist in his high school’s Honors Jazz Band and high school debate team as well as running on his feet for the indoor and outdoor track team. Russell is particularly proud of his high school’s Honors Jazz Band performances at venues throughout the Boston and metrowest Boston areas.

Russell is excited to connect with students to inspire an interest in STEM as previous instructors inspired him.
